Heads Up: Travelers Must Use eTravel System Starting April 15
Paper-based arrival and departure cards will be discontinued starting May 1.
(SPOT.ph) All inbound and outbound passengers will be required to use the new eTravel System starting on April 15, according to an announcement by Immigration Commissioner Norman Tansingco.
Last December, we got word that the digital eTravel System is being implemented for all international travelers in the Philippines. The new platform replaces the One Heath Pass previously implemented as part of travel requirements brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. While it has been accessible to travelers since last year, many travelers still prefer using the traditional pen and paper arrival and departure cards. April 15 signals the full-scale implementation of the eTravel System, while printed arrival and departure cards will be fully phased out by May 1.

In a post on its social media pages on April 12, Philippine Airlines informed its passengers of the full-scale implementation of the E-Travel System. The post reads, "ALERT: Full-Scale Implementation of the E-Travel System. Starting April 15, 2023, travelers to and from the Philippines are required to register through the E-Travel portal. This is in line with the directive of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases on the complete utilization of the e-Travel system."
Moreover, it is said that the Bureau of Immigration will stop the issuance and use of paper-based arrival and departure cards starting May 1, 2023.
How to register through the e-Travel platform?
Simply go to the eTravel website and fill in your personal information, travel information, and health declaration. Download the QR code that will be provided, which you will present upon arrival to the Philippines.
When should I register on the e-Travel platform?
You may register and submit your travel information and health declaration 72 hours or three days before arrival to the Philippines.
Is e-Travel registration free?
Yes, registration on the e-Travel platform is free.
