PSA: Water Interruptions Announced by Maynilad

Here's the schedule of water interruptions from April 29 to May 14.

(SPOT.ph) With the heat index steadily rising in Manila, the last thing anyone wants to deal with are daily water interruptions. Unfortunately, the warmer weather has also led to an "unusual proliferation" of algal blooms in Laguna Lake, leaving Maynilad with no choice but to do additional cleaning and de-clogging of two water treatment facilities. Following this, Maynilad announced that some customers in Parañaque, Las Piñas, Muntinlupa, and Cavite will be experiencing water service interruptions from April 29 to May 14.

Maynilad supplies water for the West Zone of the Greater Manila area. In March, Manila Water, which supplies water for the East Zone, drew criticism for prolonged periods of water service interruptions, leaving their consumers water-less for weeks. Both contractors are regulated by the state under the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System.
