(SPOT.ph) With more than 500 events scheduled for the 30th Southeast Asian Games here in the Philippines, you've got every chance to cheer the athletes on—especially now that tickets to some of the games and the closing ceremony are free! You can score up to two complimentary tickets from either their local government, SM Tickets Outlets, or ticket booths at the various venues. Heads up, though: volleyball and football games are already sold out so, unfortunately, they won't be on the "free" list.
You can get up to two tickets per person from the following local government units in Metro Manila:
- City of Manila,
- Pasay City
- Pasig City
- Muntinlupa City
Just don't forget to bring a valid ID. Plus, tickets are on a first come, first served basis, so you may want to head there ASAP. If you're not in the Metro, you can go to Sta. Rosa and Biñan in Laguna, Tagaytay in Cavite, Calatagan in Batangas, Angeles and San Fernando in Pampanga, San Juan in La Union, Subic in Olongapo, or Capas in Tarlac.
Ten thousand tickets to the closing ceremony on December 11 are also to be given away. No update yet on which specific games will have free tickets; Previously, they were priced at around P50 to P300, but Philippine SEA Games Organizing Committee Chair Alan Cayetano announced the decision to give some away for free on November 29.
