(SPOT.ph) Because of its proximity to Metro Manila, Pampanga is fast becoming not only a weekend destination but an actual place of residence if you're so done with the city. It has that perfect balance of being away from the hustle and bustle, but still keeping enough distance from the things you might miss in your life in the Metro. With this in mind, Robinsons Land has set its eyes on a 216-hectare property in Porac, which will soon be called the Montclair Destination Estate.

Montclair Destination Estate in Porac, Pampanga
One of the most notable things about this development is that it's poised to be a sustainable destination estate, which is something real estate companies are now aspiring for, especially amid the alarming effects of climate change. Green corridors, open spaces, linear parks, and tree-lined avenues are expected to take over the space. Surrounding these are commercial areas, residential communities, office buildings, and hospitality and entertainment hubs.
"Environmental sustainability is at the core of Montclair’s urban planning principles for land development. The integration of green infrastructure such as tree planting is considered early in the design and planning process. Our intent is to create a cooler, more bio-diverse, and ultimately more resilient urban community in Montclair," says Mybelle V. Aragon-GoBio, Senior Vice-President and General Manager of Robinsons Land Integrated Developments, in a press release.
Around 100 Robinsons Land employees participated in a tree-planting activity in the area on July 30. Urban tree canopies like banaba, balayog, fire tree, narra, palo maria, and talisay were planted in addition to the 1,200 seedlings donated to the municipality of Porac. These are expected to be planted around Montclair in an effort for cleaner air and lower temperatures, which are important for a destination estate poised to be pedestrian- and bike-friendly.
"Cities designed around trees have a major impact on the community’s mental health and well-being, and that affects how that community will thrive," added Ms. GoBio.
The bridge that will connect Montclair Destination Estate to the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway is expected to be completed by the end of 2022, while site development work is hoped to be completed by 2023.
