(SPOT.ph) Ah yes, Bicol. This peninsula right at the bottom edge of Luzon island is a beautiful place to travel to. With the majestic Mayon Volcano, incredible beaches, and delicious cuisine, it's no surprise many of us would love to just hop on a plane and explore the region's different destinations. But if a plane isn't your thing, there's always the option of taking the bus, as long as you're okay with 10 to 15 hours on the road typically in cramped spaces and, let's face it, not the comfiest seats. But hey, times are changing, and bus lines now have more luxe options for travelers seeking that sweet spot between comfort and budget.

Take, for example, Bicol Isarog Transport's line of Elite and Sleeper Buses. These buses departing from Bicol Isarog's newest hub at Arcovia in Pasig City specialize in long land trips by providing passengers with amenities designed to make the ride less stressful.

Here's a look at Bicol Isarog's Elite and Sleeper Buses:

The Bicol Isarog's Sleeper Buses offer a bed instead of a regular seat. These beds are spacious enough for dozing off during a long land trip. It also has a comfort room within the bus so passengers can relieve themselves without the need for a stopover. 

The Sleeper Buses travel from Arcovia City to Naga City, Arcovia City to Nabua, Camarines Sur, Arcovia City to Albay, and vice-versa. One bed on the bus costs P1,850 and usually departs from the Pasig City terminal at 8 p.m. You could also take the same buses from Bicol back to Pasig for the same price. Buses from Albay depart for Pasig at 5:30 p.m., buses from Nabua, Camarines Sur depart at 7:15 p.m., and buses from Naga depart at 8:30 p.m.

Another option from the Arcovia terminal are the Elite Buses. Elite buses are equipped with seats big enough for travelers to recline without worrying about the passengers around them. This type of bus also has an in-bus comfort room.

A seat on the Elite Bus costs P1,350 but is only available for trips to Naga,  Nabua, Camarines Sur, and vice versa. The bus departs the Pasig terminal at 6:30 p.m. for both destinations. While for trips bound for Manila, Elite Buses depart Naga at 8:30 p.m., while those from Nabua, Camarines Sur leave at 7:30 p.m.

Arcovia City is Megaworld's 12.3-hectare township development in Pasig City with a recently opened Transport Hub. Currently, it serves passengers bound for the Bicol region via Bicol Isarog Transport. Arcovia City is also opening additional routes to Maasin and Ormoc, Leyte this September.
