Look Out for the New realme Note 50: Here's What We Know So Far

(SPOT.ph) Over the past few days, tech enthusiasts and casual smartphone users alike have been taking note (pun intended) of the Chinese tech brand realme's latest release: the realme Note Series. In particular, the realme Note 50, a.k.a the first of the brand's Note series and first-ever global release. It's expected to launch in the country as well as in Vietnam, Thailand, Italy, Bangladesh, and Myanmar on January 23. We're taking notes, and you should, too, if you're planning on making the switch.

Meet the first of the Note series, the realme Note 50.

The Note series was announced through an open letter at the beginning of 2024. The all-new series is a reflection of the brand's "commitment to excellence in the entry-level smartphone market". And the first child of it all, the realme Note 50, is what they call your next "long-lasting value companion".

We spotted its specs ahead of the launch. 

Realme Note 50 specifications

The Realme Note 50 is said to boast a 6.74" HD display and assures smooth scrolling and better navigation with a 90Hz refresh rate as well as up to 560 peak nits of brightness. The phone itself is lightweight at 186 grams, has that familiar, neat premium build, and comes in Sky Blue and Midnight Black colors. Some comments compare it to the brand's C51 unit.

Its battery is packed with 5000 mAh with 10W wired charging, and is equipped with a USB-C port. It runs on the Unisoc Tiger T612 octa-core processor with a Mali-G57 GPU.  You don't lose out on storage either: the phone comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage. 

When it comes to taking pictures, the Realme Note 50 is said to have a 13-megapixel main camera and a 5MP selfie camera. Video recording, on the other hand, has a resolution of 1080p at 30 fps. And you don't have to worry about light rains and splashes, even a little dust, courtesy of the IP54 water and dust resistance. 

Realme Note 50 price, first selling

With all its features and specs, one wouldn't even begin to believe the rumored P3,599 price tag it is said to come with, according to some tech sites. The social media page has yet to reveal or confirm the price at the launch on January 23, 12 noon. The first selling of the unit will take place on TikTok on the same day, at 7:30 p.m., so stay tuned if you want to be the first ones to call dibs. 

While the brand has yet to reveal the smartphone, you can look at realme's wide range of smartphones, wearables like earbuds, and other gadgets like tablets, laptops, and even TVs on Lazada, Shopee, and on their website.
