(SPOT.ph) It seems like every month, someone you know is in Japan. True enough, you can't help but go back once you get the taste of the country. But for some of us who can't go yet, you can find a semblance of it when you visit MITSUKOSHI Mall in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.
Since the mall's opening, more and more authentic Japanese restos and stores are putting down roots inside the mall. And according to news from Nikkei Asia in January, Japanese furniture retailer Nitori is set to open its first Philippine branch soon.

What is Nitori?
Established in 1967 in Japan, Nitori is Japan's largest furniture and home furnishing retail chain. They have more than 800 stores in Japan and some dotted across Asia—most recently in Southeast Asian countries like Singapore and Malaysia. They also have plans to branch out in Indonesia and India.
According to their website, the first store in the Philippines is set to open in Mitsukoshi BGC.
What to shop from Nitori
Think of Nitori as a one-stop shop. You're bound to find quality pieces for the living room, bedroom, kitchen—literally every single room in your home—in a variety of price points. In true Japanese fashion, the pieces are neat and minimalist with wooden touches. They have collections and series you can choose from to fit the aesthetic you're going for in your space.
They've already put up their online store which already lets you check out your desired items. But if you're like us who prefer to feel the goods firsthand before committing to that purchase, you can use the website to window shop.
Where to buy Nitori in Manila
News sites are expecting the 1,100-square-meter store to open in April this year.
Nitori is currently available online via their website. Their first store location is set to be in MITSUKOSHI BGC at 8th Avenue corner 36th Street, Grand Central Park, North BGC, Taguig.
