LOOK: Uniqlo Reopens at SM Mall of Asia

(SPOT.ph) It felt like only yesterday when the first-ever Uniqlo store in the Philippines opened in SM Mall of Asia—but it has really been 12 years since. It was in 2012, to be exact. Those who lined up during the opening date and have been shopping in it when it was the only Uniqlo store in the country would probably remember the one-floor space full of lifewear items.

A lot has changed since, and the branch has undergone an extreme makeover. SPOT.ph got a first look at the newly renovated space—opening soon on May 17. Check out the Uniqlo SM Mall of Asia 2.0 below:

Here's a glimpse of the newly renovated Uniqlo MOA

They temporarily moved to a smaller space around 2022 to make way for the renovation, but now they're going back to their OG site—bigger and better.

First off, from the initial 1,550 square meters, the new Uniqlo MOA branch doubles in size. And by double, we mean it's now two floors (3,000 square meters) of functional and stylish pieces from the lifewear brand. You'll need to allot more time to go around—and more wardrobe space. 

The OG space, which is on the second floor, carries the women's apparel as well as the UT line. The additional third floor has the men's section, baby and kids, and yes, there's also the UT graphic tees and the UT!Me here. We know, it's a lot. And it's easy to get lost. But if we were to get lost somewhere, then it might as well be inside a huge Uniqlo store.

Speaking of UT, Uniqlo's UT!Me—a.k.a their customization service that lets you design your shirt—will also be available at the new branch. It was only originally available at their flagship store in Glorietta. ICYDK how it works, the UT!Me lets you put pictures (your own, your dog—anything you want), type your own messages, paint, and even put stickers on your shirt. The price ranges from P590 to P990. 

The new store will also have exclusive designs from Disney Mickey Go Philippines, Manam, Auro, and more. The third floor also has Uniqlo Coffee, which extends outside the store—but that's a topic for another article.

All the deals you can get at Uniqlo MOA

In true Uniqlo fashion, they have lots of deals during their opening week. You can get your hands on limited-edition items like an insulated cup (with a minimum spend of P3,500) and one-of-a-kind Uniqlo fans (because yes, it's still hot AF outside) when you shop from May 17 to 23. 

The deals can be overwhelming, but who are we to complain? We're also here to ease you into shopping during the opening week. We spotted deals for as low as P490, but if we were to choose must-cop items, we'd direct you to the Uniqlo Bra Tops that went from P990 to P790. Stylish and comfortable dresses like the Ultra Stretch AIRism Sleeveless Dress are at P990 from P1,990.

UT shirts like the Harry Potter, Haikyuu!!!, Pokemon, and the Find Your Treasure collections are priced at P790. You can get the cult-fave Round Mini Shoulder Bag (the other colors you don't have, we mean) at P590 from P790.

Where's the exact location of the Uniqlo MOA

You can find the newly renovated branch on the second and third floors of the Mall of Asia's North Main Mall in Pasay City. The Uniqlo MOA branch is set to reopen on May 17.
