LOOK: POP MART's First Pop-Up Store in SM MOA

(SPOT.ph) It has been a hot minute since news of the first-ever POP MART store— albeit a pop-up—in the country broke in our timelines, much to the delight of all anik-anik girlies' and blind box enjoyers' (like this writer right here... for now).
Gone are the days when we had to hop on a flight to other Southeast Asian countries to stock up on these coveted blind boxes until our luggage burst at the seams. The wait is over; we can just visit the new store at the SM Mall of Asia. It will open its doors on November 2 and will run for three whole months. To fuel your excitement before the much-anticipated opening, the SPOT.ph team got a first look at the pop-up—and, of course, we're taking you with us.

Here's your first look at POP MART's first-ever pop-up in the Philippines:
The POP MART pop-up is located in the middle of the hall, right beside the Allbirds on the second floor of the North Entertainment Mall of the SM Mall of Asia. It's the size of a usual store but situated in an open area. Look for the life-size statue of the little boy Hirono, one of POP MART's most popular figures, in his Devilry design from the MIME Blind Box series. Hirono will be standing in front of a castle with a big POP MART sign over them—that's your cue that you've made it to the pop-up.
As expected, a lot of your favorite POP MART figurines will greet you with open arms. Whether that is a good or bad thing—for your wallet, at least—is up to you. The ever-famous Labubu that took everyone by storm (local and international artists alike) is inside, as well as her friends from Hong Kong-born artist Kasing Lung's The Monsters series.
We also spotted contemporary artist Lang's Hirono, as well as its latest Hirono x Le Petit Prince collection on one of the shelves. Molly, who was created by Kenny Wong, is also there with big eyes and an innocent expression that will lure you into getting a box from the shelf. Not that you'll need any more push.
And another figurine that we spotted is someone that speaks for all of us: artist Molly Yllom's CRYBABY. The figurine's cute (crying) face will definitely soften your heart (and yes, they will make you want to take them home).
If not them, then the ever-alluring SKULLPANDA figurines will be the icing on top of the cake. DIMOO, too, is also here with the rest of the gang with the cutest big eyes and designs. Like all blind boxes, these figurines (and more collections) come in various series, which can all be found inside the store. Though fair warning, you have to try to get there ASAP for more chances of scoring your favorite series.
POP MART has physical stores in Southeast Asia, specifically in Singapore, Vietnam, and a few more. Again, this is only a pop-up yet, and they will only be here for three months. Though that will be enough time, it also comes before, during, and after Christmas a.k.a when everyone has more kaching! so you know the drill.
According to Mr. Jeremy Lee, POP MART South East Asian GO TO Market Director, they have big plans for the coming years and are working "very, very hard" to make those plans come to life. If that's not some exciting news, then we don't know what is. We're crossing our fingers that the Philippines will have its own physical store soon. Permanently.
