LOOK: Alo Opens First Store in Manila, Here's What to Expect

(SPOT.ph) People have been waiting for Alo Yoga to somehow make its way to Manila. I mean, if you know, you know. The American premium athletic apparel brand was spotted earlier this year on a board-up in Greenbelt 5 and we're happy to report the store is finally officially open. We got a sneak peek on opening day and we're here to share photos, details, and what else to expect.

What to expect at the Alo Yoga store

Spotted on celebrity A-listers like Taylor Swift, J-Lo, Kendall Jenner, Hailey Bieber, and Bella Hadid, activewear and lifestyle brand Alo Yoga has gone beyond utility and function to become synonymous with style and form.

For years, Filipinos on the hunt for stylish athletic gear had to source Alo abroad or pay shipping fees just to get their hands on a set or two. Now, no longer.

Stylish workout fits

Both flattering and functional, Alo's pieces come in a variety of shades and silhouettes that can carry you from a killer workout to a brunch out with friends right after. Those new to the brand might assume Alo offers gear only for diehard yogis and high-performance athletes, but it's actually quite the opposite. Whether you're tracking activity for the next marathon or you're slowly coming out of your shell to discover how benefical movement can be, there's something for you at Alo.

The recently launched color Macadamia is front and center at the store, and we spotted the limited Candy Red on shelves and mannequins, too. Of course, there's the classic Black, Gray, and Ivory.

Everyday athleisure

Apart from their activewear, they also have casual clothing on their hangers and shelves. Think hoodies and jackets you can wear on the daily, sweatpants that fall on the hips just right, tanks and shirts you can slip into in a snap, and even shorts to keep you cool in the Manila heat.

Yes, Alo offers a sleek selection of activewear that works, but it's also chic enough to pass as daily wear. It's very much giving off-duty but still put-together, and we can totally vibe with that if it means looking good with minimal effort.

We got the chance to see the Crew Neck Pullover and 1/4 Zip Pullover from their Accolade line up-close and think it'd be great for cold days at the office, errand days, and at the airport when you're zooming past gates and destinations, with its plush fabric and thick inner lining.

The store offers clothing for both men and women, but we'd argue it's pretty unisex. Grab an item in the size that fits you best and you're good to go. Go one size smaller for a tigher, more body-hugging fit, or size up if you're in the mood for a baggier, loose fit.

Shoes

Present in the store is Alo Yoga's sneaker line. Both the Alo Runner ad Alo Recovery Mode sneakers are available in neutral colors. The Alo Runner is designed to accompany you on your jogs and runs, while the Alo Recovery Mode is more a stylish, comfy pair that can accompany you on rest days and daily walks plusit can complement any OOTD easily.

Engraving services

Alo also sells its own aluminum water bottle, a lightweight vessel that will kepe you hydrated throughout your workouts and the rest of your day. The twist-off cap and handle is fuss-free and functional, plus the sleek Alo logo sets it apart from other black tumblers. You can have your own watter bottle customized in-store at the engraving station!

Equipment and gear

Of course, it wouldn't be Alo Yoga without reliable yoga equipment. They have their Warrior Mat in several colors, the Grounded No-Slip Mat Towel, and the Uplifting Yoga Block.

Accessories

If you're on the lookout for accessories and smaller gear, either for function or just to spruce up your athleisure game, them the Manila store has you covered. Think caps in multiple colors, visors, scrunchies for your hair, headbands with rubber so it doesn't slip off during an intense workout, both regular socks and grip socks, along with tote bags and a sling.

Dressing rooms

You're going to need to try on some stuff to ensure the best fit. Alo has four dressing rooms in total, each one with a full-body mirror, ample lighthing, a small chair, and a rod for you to hang the stuff you're trying on. Here's how the Accolade 1/4 Zip Pullover looks when worn!

How to get to the Alo Yoga store

The Manila store of Alo Yoga is on the Ground Floor of Greenbelt 5, right across the freshly re-opened three-level Zara, and near the Coach tabby pop-up. If you're getting down at the Greenbelt 5 drop-off, it's a short walk to the end of the fountain before you're met with the sleek display and minimalist brand logo.
