'90s Kids, You'll Want to Have the New Tamagotchi

(SPOT.ph) Even with all the virtual pet apps available on mobile nowadays, they can never quite live up to the experience of carrying around an actual Tamagotchi toy. Thankfully, Bandai knows just how much we miss those egg-shaped goodies, and now they're back at it again with the all-new Tamagotchi On.

We know that Bandai has been releasing more modern versions of the 1996 toy in recent years, but Tamagotchi On is the first to encourage full back-and-forth connectivity as it comes with its own interactive mobile app. It also has other fun features like meeting other characters, eating out, shopping in different lands, participating in events, scheduling playdates with friends, and more. It looks and feels similar to the Tamagotchi of your childhood, but comes with a full-colored screen. 

Launched May 13 in America, Tamagotchi On is priced U.S. $59.99 (roughly P3,150), but unlike older units, this allows you to take care of generations of virtual furbabies because they can marry and breed once they're fully grown. We don't know yet if they'll be available in the Philippines, but you can order them on Amazon if you can't wait!
