(SPOT.ph) South folks, the wait is finally over: Uniqlo's first "roadside store" in the country officially opens its doors to the public on Friday, August 16, at Westgate Filinvest City, Alabang, Muntinlupa City. If you're excited to see what you can expect from the store, then you've come to the right place. Below, we give you a run-down of everything you need to know about the Japanese retail giant's biggest store south of Metro Manila.
Everything You Need to Know About Uniqlo Westgate Alabang
The store is going to be pretty big.
It's obviously not going to be as huge as the Manila flagship store, but to be very exact, the Uniqlo Westgate Alabang store will have a shopping space of 1,518 square meters—which is still pretty big. For perspective, that's about six times the size of a tennis court, making it the largest Uniqlo store in the south of the Metro. Other Uniqlo stores in the south are considered standard-sized stores, including the ones in SM City BF Parañaque, SM Southmall, Evia Lifestyle Center, and Southwoods Mall, to name a few. Fun fact: It's the second roadside store in Southeast Asia, the first being in Thailand.
It will carry the full LifeWear collection.
South kids won't have to travel too far anymore just to shop their favorite Uniqlo pieces because the complete LifeWear collection will be available at the new store. This means you can shop the full range of Uniqlo items from the men, women, kids, and babies sections all in one place.
There's going to be a parking lot.
If you're worried about where to park, the Westgate store has its own parking for all their customers. It's designed to have enough space and make the shopping experience better for families with children, the elderly, and people with disabilities. From August 16 to 18, parking is free for the first three hours with an additional P10 per succeeding hour. Beginning August 19, regular rates of P200 per succeeding hour (after the first three hours) will be charged.
It will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day.
Just like most shopping malls in the Metro, Uniqlo's standalone store will be open every day from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. So whether you have a last-minute thing to attend and have nothing decent enough to wear, it will be easy to run to the store to get what you need.
They're celebrating the store opening with a bang.
From August 16 to 18, Uniqlo Westgate Alabang will be open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Plus, shoppers can enjoy cool freebies like a limited-edition Uniqlo dry bag for every minimum purchase of P3,000. Additionally, from August 16 to 22, the store will also be putting some well-loved Uniqlo fashion pieces on sale, like the U Crew Neck T-shirts (from P590 to P490), Pocketable Parkas (from P1,490 to P1,290), and EZY Ankle Pants (from P1,490 to P1,290), among others. Finally, from August 16 to September 15, customers with the Uniqlo App can get a stamp card for a minimum purchase of P3,000. The stamp card lets you enjoy deals and freebies from several partner merchants including Neil's Kitchen Westgate, Earth Origins Westgate, Celeste Cycles Westgate, OneLife Studio, Beyond Yoga Alabang, and Altacienda Native Wellness Spa.
