SPOTTED: This MUJI Tabo Dupe Is Only P80
Here's where you can get it.
(SPOT.ph) You probably already know that MUJI's infamous Bath Dipper recently became a little bit more affordable, but just in case you're still iffy about spending more than one blue bill on a tabo, you might want to check this out: We stumbled upon a post on home-improvement enthusiasts group "Home Buddies" by member Leia Carunungan who spotted a dupe of MUJI's tabeau.
"I was on my way to MUJI to buy a bucket (na pilit na iteterno sa mahiwagang tabo) when I passed [by] Landmark [Makati] and saw these Home Gallery items," she writes in her post. "The tabo is exactly the same size as MUJI's and is also available in a bigger size. It has a similar matte texture on the outside but the inside is the regular shiny plastic." Carunungan even went as far as weighing the bath dippers just to compare! "The MUJI tabo weighs 180 grams while the Home Gallery is lighter at 139 grams. Yes, tinimbang ko." Home Gallery's bath dipper is priced at P80.

Carunungan shared one downside she experienced with the MUJI tabo dupe: "The only downside is that mahirap tanggalin ang paper sticker label ng tabo." She reached out to Home Gallery about her concern, and the home brand responded saying that they'll talk to their supplier regarding the paper sticker labels. We love good customer service!
For reference, here's what the MUJI Bath Dipper looks like:
While the resemblance is uncanny, MUJI's Bath Dipper is matte inside-out, so water droplets easily roll off the surface. On the other hand, Home Gallery's Dipper is matte on the outside and shiny on the inside. Not to mention, it is also a tad bit lighter than MUJI's. Aesthetic-wise, though, you can say it's quite a dupe!
Home Gallery is available at Landmark Department Store.
