You Can Soon Buy Tickets to the Studio Ghibli Theme Park Online
They've launched an English site you can book with even outside Japan.
(SPOT.ph) The much-awaited Studio Ghibli theme park opened back in November, with a rather complicated ticket-selling process that was more accessible if you were already in the Land of the Rising Sun. With pandemic restrictions slowly rolling back though, it seems they're now prepping to open their doors a little wider. Here's good news for all international fans of Studio Ghibli! The park has launched a new English website to sell tickets to tourists outside of Japan. Yup, we're talking international visitors being able to book their tickets to the park in advance, even before they land on Japanese soil, starting January 2023.

Here's how you can get tickets to the Studio Ghibli Theme Park even if you're outside of Japan:
Tickets to the Studio Ghibli Theme park can be purchased by those who are outside of Japan through a new English-language website. Starting January 10, 2 p.m. JST, international tourists will be able to book their tickets to the Ghibli's Grand Warehouse for visits from March 15 to April 30, 2023. Note that yup, for now it is only one part of the park they're opening up via the English site.
Ticket prices to Ghibli's Grand Warehouse are 2,000 Yen (around P830) for adults on weekdays and 2,500 Yen (around P1,040) on weekends and holidays, while tickets for children aged 12 and below are 1000 Yen (around P415) on weekdays and 1250 Yen (P520) on weekends and holidays. Currently, international tickets are only limited to the 12 p.m. entry timeslot and only for Ghibli's Grand Warehouse.
So, to manage expectations: despite three of the park's five main attractions being open, international tickets are only available for Ghibli's Grand Warehouse. International tickets to the other attractions have yet to be announced but don't worry, Spotters. We'll be on the lookout for any updates.
