See Manila Through the Eyes of Maria Clara, Ibarra, and Other Rizal Characters Via This Walking Tour

(SPOT.ph) The historical GMA teleserye Maria Clara at Ibarra has been making waves on social media for its poignant yet fresh take on the classics Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo. The series has sparked renewed interest in all things Rizal, and it had us thinking, what if we could also time travel and walk the same streets as Maria Clara, Ibarra, Sisa, and the whole squad? Would we recognize Manila? Lucky for you, you don't have to think too hard. Renacimiento Manila is hosting a special Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo-themed walking tour of old Manila this Saturday, January 14.

Try out this Noli and El Fili-themed walking tour in Intramuros:

For just P300, visit the different spots the famed subversive reads took place in courtesy of the Lakad Pamana: Ang Maynila nina Ibarra at Maria Clara tour. Go around Intramuros and old Manila from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. while learning about its rich history and cultural significance to the Philippine Revolution of 1896 with the help of your tour guides and re-enactors in period costumes.

Lakad Pamana: Ang Maynila nina Ibarra at Maria Clara is a way of showing people the areas in Manila where Rizal's stories take place. The walk is courtesy of the Heritage Collective and will also include the participation of the Republica Filipina Reenactment Group.
