(SPOT.ph) Been wanting to bring your bike for a Sunday ride around the University of the Philippines Diliman Academic Oval? Good news: UP Diliman has allowed bicycles back at the Academic Oval.
The 2.2-kilometer elliptical road, a favorite weekend spot of bikers and joggers of all ages thanks to its lush canopy of acacia trees, now allows non-motorized vehicles including bicycles, scooters, and other personal mobility carriers, based on a January 31 memorandum released by the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Community Affairs.
UPD stopped allowing bikers, and at some point the public, at the Academic Oval multiple times during the pandemic to help curb the spread of COVID-19.

Observe the maximum speed of 15 kilometers per hour (kph) around the Academic Oval. On other roads within the campus, 30 kph is the maximum speed limit but take note that bikers will share the road with cars and other motorized vehicles outside the Academic Oval.
Bikers are to share the road with pedestrians and other non-motorized vehicles so ride with care.
