(SPOT.ph) Public libraries with good titles and decent facilities can be hard to come by—but not in Valenzuela City. On February 24, the city government opened its six-storey public library, which comes with computer stations, reading spaces, and kid-friendly learning centers. Named the Valenzuela City Academic Center for Excellence, it is open for free to the public and not just to Valenzuela City residents.

Valenzuela City Academic Center for Excellence (a.k.a. ValACE) is "another great proof of the city's commitment to providing quality education and becoming more liveable," said Mayor Rex Gatchalian in a post.

More reading spaces with bean bags are found on the second floor, not to mention a separate quiet study hall. The third floor has a computer section, which will soon be available to library-goers. Special collections, such as the Xiao Chua Public History Collection, are also found on the third floor.
