(SPOT.ph) Zambales is an excellent weekend beach destination as most of its municipalities are located along the coastline on the western shores of Luzon—not to mention, these are also accessible by land from Metro Manila. For this week's Weekend Spot, we put the spotlight on Cactus and Tides, a private 8,000-square-meter beachfront property in the lesser-known Botolan, Zambales.

Check out this tropical Zambales Airbnb in the municipality of Botolan:

Cactus and Tides is a beach villa that takes on modern Tulum-style interiors, which is best described as a mix of bohemian and rustic—with a touch of modern-industrial because of its bare concrete floors and its textured walls. This laid-back abode is perfect if you want some privacy during your much-deserved vacation, plus beachfront access and an unobstructed view of the sunset.

The villa has two floors, but the ground floor is the only area that can be occupied when it's rented out. It has a foyer, two bedrooms with a king-sized bed each, a family room with a king-sized bed, a living room, a dining room, a fully equipped kitchen, two toilets, and a patio by a dipping pool. There's also a dedicated workspace if you need to suddenly fight fires while on vacation—which, in any case, we surely don't hope happens to you.

Cactus and Tides' kitchen is already equipped with the basics, so you don't have to pack kitchen tools in your bag, pre-cook dishes, revert to preparing instant food, or order takeout. There's a range hood for cooking, a Nespresso machine for your cup of joe (best to bring your own coffee pods!), a microwave for heating, a rice cooker, a refrigerator, an air fryer, a water hot pot, cooking pans, and cooking utensils.

There's also no need to bring disposable plates and cutleries, as Cactus and Tides provides those, too. They have cutleries, plates, glasses, and utensils that are good for up to eight people. #ReducePlasticWaste, am I right?

By the patio or the lanai, there are lounge chairs and pool beds when the sun is too harsh and you'd rather stay somewhere shaded, perhaps sipping on a cocktail or beer while listening to your favorite serotonin-inducing playlist. Once you're ready to go back to the beach, you can borrow a surfboard, bodyboard, and a wooden skimboard. But if the waves are too big, they also have a mountain bike you can use anytime.

As the sun sets and the skies turn pitch black, you can start a bonfire (additional fees apply) or camp outdoors if the weather cooperates. If you're worried about the heat of summer, the villa has a split-type air conditioning unit, ceiling fans, and portable fans to keep you cool from the heat waves.

Cactus and Tides in Botolon, Zambales costs P21,000 per night via Airbnb. It can accommodate up to eight guests and pets are allowed.
