Join the Rug Tufting Hype at the Metro's First-Ever Rug Tufting Studio

(SPOT.ph) One of the newer hobbies people picked up during the pandemic is tufting, specifically rug tufting. Compared to crocheting or knitting, which also gained popularity during the pandemic, making customized furry rugs is more expensive because of the materials needed, which would be the tufting gun which has a starting price of P5,000.
If you want to try rug tufting but don't want to commit to buying all the pricey materials and equipment, you can book a beginner-friendly rug tufting class with Rug Rat. This is the first-ever rug tufting studio in Metro Manila, and it is hosted by popular pottery studio Bumi & Ashe. The class or workshop is priced at P4,200 per person.

This rug tufting class by Rug Rat and Bumi & Ashe aims to have participants create their own rug from start to finish. The class, which is priced at P4,200, is inclusive of all the materials you'll need: a tufting gun, unlimited yarn in different colors, a backing kit, a threader, and a pair of scissors.
The class lasts up to three hours. The first two hours are allocated to making your own design. This includes choosing your yarn color and learning the tufting basics and safety tips with the help of a rug tufting instructor.
Two classes are held every Saturday at the Bumi & Ashe Pottery Shop in Cubao Expo, Quezon City. The time slots are from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. As of writing, the next available slots for the rug tufting class are next month, specifically July 9, 16, and 30, while all Saturdays of August are still free.
