Play Board Games 'Til You Drop at This Gaming Library in QC

(SPOT.ph) Remember when there'd be a boardgame café everywhere you look? It was the place to hang with your closest friends, test your friendship, and discover new tabletop games to while away the time. While it may seem like the pandemic all but wiped out that entire subclass of hang-out spots, we're now seeing a resurgence of boardgame libraries in the Metro. From cult-favorite boardgame store—Gaming Library—comes another branch of All aBOARD XP where you can play boardgames 'til you drop, with rates starting at P100 per hour.

Check out Gaming Library's newest branch of All aBOARD XP branch in Quezon City:

Located on the fourth floor of SM North Edsa's The Block, it's a bit easy to just walk past All aBOARD XP and not bat an eye. After all, it looks like just another kiosk at the mall. You might even think it's the usual stall selling board games, especially if you're familiar with the Gaming Library brand.

Upon closer inspection, you'll see that it actually has dedicated space for playing tabletop games on-site.

There are about eight to 10 tables at All aBOARD XP SM North Edsa, which can comfortably seat about four to six players each. There's also a wide array of games. From simple cards to more complex role-playing strategy games—whether you're an expert or just a casual player—there are lots of different group and duo games you can try here. 

Like we said, playing here at All aBOARD XP starts at P100 per hour per head but trust us when we say an hour is cutting it too close (we may or may not have spent three hours on one particularly long game). Don't worry about burning a hole through your wallet if you want to spend more time here. They also have a play all-day option for just P350 per head. So if you want to play the day away, go crazy!

All aBOARD XP doesn't serve any food or drinks or allow you to bring refreshments to the area, but you can take a break if you availed the all-day play pass. You can go back without having to pay for another round, as long as tables are still available.

If you do end up getting attached to a particular game you played, just ask the resident game master or check out their GAMES TO PLAY AT HOME shelves. Yup, most, if not all, of the games you can play in-store are available for purchase too.
