Ride Like a King With Victory Liner's New Sleeper Buses to Baguio

(SPOT.ph) From air-conditioned versus ordinary buses, to express or point-to-point versus one with stopovers, bus riding has seen its fair share of trends and improvements come and go. It seems like we're on the edge of a new era, as Victory Liner—one of the country's leading names when it comes to transport—just announced a new class of buses. The Royal Class bus is set to take its first batch of trips this October and make its way to one of the country's top destinations, Baguio City. Here's what we know about these buses hitting our roads soon.

Victory Liner has been teasing the public with this new improvement for a while but only formally unveiled it on Friday, October 13, on its 78th anniversary celebration.

This fully customized sleeper is touted as a business-class suite for land transport. Dubbed Victory Liner's top-of-the-line buses, the Royal Class features suites with reclinable beds, curtains in every suite, adjustable aircon vents, and an in-bus toilet, ending the need for lengthy hygiene stops along the way. 

Additionally, each suite is equipped with charging ports, cup holders, reading lights, and amenity kits, as you would expect from a business class trip.

To be fair, the concept of luxe sleeper buses isn't exactly new. Other bus operators and those abroad have been offering the service for a while now but only to select destinations. Sleeper buses are more common for destinations like Bicol, the Visayas, and other long-haul journeys or those that require multi-day trips. But, with Victory Liner's entry into the sleeper bus game, it's opening the use of these "business-class-like" buses for shorter trips to destinations within Luzon, particularly up north to the Summer Capital of the Philippines, Baguio City.

These buses will only be available to the public starting on October 23 but bookings can be made today at Victory Liner ticket counters and online at the website. Details about the fare haven't been released yet, but we'll keep an eye out for you, dear Spotters. 

Aside from Baguio City, Royal Class buses are also expected to be available for trips to Tuguegarao, Cagayan, and Taboc, La Union.
