(SPOT.ph) If you're heading to Hong Kong, chances are you have Victoria Peak as one of your tour stops. The area, after all, is known to have one of the best views of the harbor. Here's what you need to know about Monopoly Dreams in Hong Kong:
You've probably played the board game at some point in your life, and here's your chance to "pass go" in real life. The 20,000-square-foot museum opened in October of 2019 and features a storyline where Mr. Monopoly welcomes you into his secret residence and city. Tickets cost P1,490 via Klook.
Popular Monopoly milestones and iconography act as interactive activities that can be found in this space. Have you ever tried to imagine what it feels like to have money rain down from the ceiling? At Monopoly Ultimate Banking, guests can give it a go as they try to get as much as possible within a set time frame. Do take note that the pieces of paper have no valuation and are just for fun, something that we wish weren't the case.
Guests can also go on a thrilling adventure with Train Station, a 4DX theater show featuring Mr. Monopoly's attempt to catch the Diamond Thief. Love taking photos for the 'Gram? Why not head to Mr. Monopoly's Vault, where you can bathe yourself in the glow of gold? Just make sure you won't end up in Jail, which is another photo spot. But if it's a unique souvenir that you want, you might want to try your hand at Monopoly Property, where you get to print your own title deed card.
Of course, it wouldn't be a museum visit if you didn't pass by the gift shop. Monopoly Dreams has everything you'll ever want when it comes to the board game, all the way from your traditional pens, notebooks, and pillows, to limited edition sets that'll leave your friends jealous.
Monopoly Dreams is at Shop 301, 3/F Peak Galleria, 118 Peak Road, The Peak, Hong Kong. It is open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., with last entry at 7 p.m. Tickets are available for P1,490 via Klook.
