(SPOT.ph) Cruising through the highways of nostalgia, Victory Liner is not just throwing it back with a hashtag; they're switching their gears into reverse by bringing back the Vintage Bus. In celebration of the bus company's 78th anniversary, the provincial bus company is launching this bright red bus to different parts of the country for a blast from the past.

Victory Liner's Vintage Bus is a restoration of a Jardinera bus body using an International Harvester chassis and engine. It is called "Jardinera" because this type of chassis was used as utility trucks for transporting agricultural products, such as sugar cane, rice, and corn, back in the day.

According to the bus company, this automotive design is known as a "Toastrack" or "Charabanc," which goes all the way back to the 19th century. The interiors of the Vintage Bus are made of wooden seats, with no aisles in between. Passengers of this type of bus enter from the sides as four walls do not enclose this vehicle.

But while the sides are open, Victory Liner's partnership with Del Monte Motors, known for its bus body fabrication skills, ensured that this restored vehicle still meets the safety and regulatory standards.
