Northies, Head to This QC Mall for a Free Lights and Fountain Show

(SPOT.ph) Northies, you don't need to go down South to Makati, BGC, Nuvali, or Pasay just to get a dose of holiday cheer. Eastwood City just launched its slate of holiday shows and displays, and yes, we in the North now finally have a lights, fountain, and music show to watch the entire month of December. Head over to Eastwood City Park between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. until December 30 and catch dazzling displays of holiday cheer from lights, Christmas trees, dancing water fountains, and more for free.

Here's everything you need to know about Eastwood's Holiday Lightscapades:

Christmas is alive in Eastwood City. This year, the mall complex launched a variety of displays and shows that are bound to level up your holiday cheer. Eastwood's Holiday Lightscapades, an immersive lights and sound show by Filipino lighting designer John Batalla, is leading the charge for this year's celebration.

The show features a dazzling display of colors, music, and lights with over 2.5 million sparkling bulbs centered around a 20-foot Christmas tree sculpture created by Batalla and Ohm David, a renowned professor and theater set designer. This reflective Christmas tree display was crafted from NASA-grade MYLAR laminated chromed metal attached to a revolving frame.

But aside from the bright hues of Christmas lights all over, the 15-minute lights show also features various light sources synchronized to the beat of remixed holiday music that is reflected on the centerpiece. At the same time, haze and bubble effects emanate from the structure, creating a colorful visual spectacle for the audience.

Adding more bursts of color to the visual feast are international-grade laser points placed strategically around the open park’s adjacent structures, accentuating and illuminating the surrounding buildings and structures that further immerse the audience in a vibrant display of colorful lights.

But the show is not just for your eyes but also your ears. You can also bop to the beat of a medley of modern and upbeat songs curated and remixed by Arvy Dimaculangan, who has scored music on various local theater productions.

Aside from the lights show, guests at Eastwood City can also stay and marvel at the fountains around the area as they dance and light up to the beat of Eastwood Holiday Lightscapades.

You can also go around the township and marvel at the stunning 50-foot Christmas tree on display.
