(SPOT.ph) 2023 isn't over just yet for Disney kids and adults everywhere. The House of Mouse's 100th year isn't closing out the year without one more surprise. We're talking about the opening of the world's first-ever Zootopia-themed land at Shanghai Disneyland. We're officially one week away from the space's grand unveiling, as it is slated to open just in time for Christmas on December 20. So, if you're planning on heading over and exploring the park yourselves sometime soon, here's your first peek at what the new land has in store for you.

Here's your first look at everything Zootopia at Shanghai Disneyland:
Shanghai Disneyland's Zootopia will transport Disney nerds to the fictional anthropomorphic metropolis when they enter the park. The space is decked out in the animated film's New York-slash-London-inspired, kid-friendly aesthetic, complete with all the small details even the most die-hard fans may miss.
Fans of the film and its spinoffs will be glad to see Zootopia-themed crosswalks, storefronts, and characters strut around the city. Heck, even the Disney castmates assigned to Zootopia are sporting uniforms and garb reminiscent of the characters in the film.
What to See at Shanghai Disneyland's Zootopia
Get ready to be overloaded with all things animals at Zootopia. As with the animated film, everything in the space has been tweaked to resemble what a world run by animals would look like. From traffic lights taking curious shapes to animalized murals of popular street art, even those who aren't here for the thrills will not be bored at the sheer number of IG-worthy sights you can only find at Shanghai Disneyland.
What to Do at Zootopia
But of course, the pièce de résistance of the entire themed land is its featured ride. Zootopia: Hot Pursuit lets you in on the chase and trains you as a rookie police officer alongside Officers Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde. Here, you’ll go across Zootopia’s iconic terrains like the icy Tundratown, the chaotic streets of Sahara Square, and the Mystic Springs Oasis, all in pursuit of Bellwether and her gang to track down Gazelle.
But hey, if rides aren't your thing, you can also just go around for photo opportunities with the characters. Make sure to check out the Zootopia Park Apartments and the Zootopia Police Department Recruitment Center for a chance to meet and greet, interact, and watch shows starring your favorite Zootopia characters, yes including the entire Hopps family and other lovable side characters like Koslov, the polar bear; Flash, the sloth; Yax, the yak; Duke Weaselton, the weasel, and Fru Fru.
Speaking of Fru Fru, the fashionista is bringing her merch to Shanghai. Yup, there's no leaving a Disney park without bringing home some loot. Guests can shop for souvenirs and trinkets at Fashions by Fru Fru, right by the entrance on Mane Street. But if your idea of the perfect souvenir is of the edible kind, you can find yummy treats to eat or take home at either Jumbeaux’s Café or the Zootopia Market. Pro tip: consider ordering for takeaway. Some snacks at Zootopia can be bought alongside park-exclusive containers like a Judy Hopps or Nick Wilde Hot Beverage Cup, a Hopps Family Farm Popcorn Bucket, and a Disney Zootopia Pawpsicle Ice Mold.
