See Giant Parols Shine at This Free Lantern Festival Near Manila

We're talking about San Fernando, Pampanga's Giant Lantern Festival. Catch larger-than-life Christmas lantern displays from different barangays all over Pampanga at Robinsons Starmills Pampanga until January 1. It's free and open to everyone.

Here's what you need to know about the Giant Lantern Festival in Pampanga:

Get ready to be mesmerized by a captivating display of vibrant colors as giant lanterns flicker at Robinsons Starmills Pampanga this holiday season. See the whole town razzle-dazzle with the mind-blowing artistry of San Fernando locals as they shine the light on the humble parol during the festivities. 

But "humble" and "simple" these parols are not. Each lantern is a unique masterpiece showcasing the region's cultural heritage and festive spirit. San Fernando, Pampanga, isn't called the “Christmas Capital of the Philippines” for nothing, and this festival is the best example of their unique and colorful holiday festivities.

How to get to the Robinsons Starmills, Pampanga:

We've all seen the photos of holiday carmageddon and NGL, that's really stopping us from going anywhere, let alone up north in Pampanga, anytime soon. But don't worry. There are more ways than one to get to the Giant Lantern Festival in Pampanga. Aside from making the drive there yourself, you can also avail of mall-to-mall shuttles from Metro Manila to Robinsons Starmills, Pampanga starting at P450/ head.

Klique offers a mall transport service from Robinsons Antipolo and Robinsons Galleria. The service will be available until December 31, 2023. Here's the schedule of trips to Robinsons Starmills Pampanga:

• From Robinsons Antipolo (via Robinsons Galleria): 1 p.m.
• From Robinsons Galleria: 2 p.m.
• From Robinsons Starmills Pampanga to Metro Manila: 9 p.m.

Book the services online or through the RMalls app. Shuttle service from Robinsons Antipolo is priced at P500/ head for one-way trips and P750/ head for roundtrip transfers. Shuttles from Robinsons Galleria are priced at P450/ head for one-way trips and P700/head for roundtrip transfers.
