However, a budget-friendly schedule is more than possible to achieve—especially if you've already already spent a couple of thousand bucks on airfare, accommodation, and, err, concert tickets (e.g. Taylor Swift's Eras Tour).

Here's what you can do in Singapore under P1,000:

Gardens by the Bay: P425

Regardless if it's your first or nth time to visit Singapore's Gardens by the Bay, it's a place that's worth revisiting time after time. At least, it's not that much of an investment as it's less than P500 for an admission ticket. A ticket to Gardens by the Bay includes access to Cloud Forest which houses the world's tallest indoor waterfall; Flower Dome which is a sanctuary of a wide variety of plants; Floral Fantasy which has garden landscapes; and the Supertree Observatory which offers a view of Gardens by the Bay and Marina Bay area.

Spend the night having fun at Wings of Time: P727

Wings of Time is one of the country's popular night activities. If you love a laser light show, as much as any typical cat does, you'll enjoy the laser show, pyrotechnics, and the fountains and water jets that are accompanied by music.

A ticket to Wings of Time purchased via Klook includes the entrance to the venue, a complimentary entry to the Sentosa Musical Fountain and Sentosa SkyJet, and either standard or premium seating. The premium ticket, priced at P879 per head, has back-rested seats, while the standard ticket, priced at P727 per head, has wooden benches.

Wings of Time is at 50 Beach View Road, Wings of Time Theatre, Siloso Beach, Sentosa, Singapore. Wings of Time is open Monday to Sunday, with two sessions scheduled at 7:40 p.m. and 8:40 p.m.; Sentosa SkyJet is open Monday to Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.; and Sentosa Musical Fountain is open Monday to Sunday, with timeslots at 4 p.m., 4:30 p.m., 5 p.m., 5:30 p.m., and 6 p.m. Tickets can be purchased via Klook. 

Refill your creative juice at the National Museum of Singapore: P625

The National Museum of Singapore, the oldest museum in the country, has permanent collections on display such as the Singapore Gallery and An Old New World that show Singapore's past and present, and immersive art installations such as Story of the Forest by teamLab.

The tickets sold, both through the National Museum of Singapore and Klook, include access to a special exhibit called Plastic: Remaking Our World that lets museumgoers reflect on their daily plastic usage. Available until June 23 this year, this interactive display shows everyday items that contain plastic.

The National Museum of Singapore is at 93 Stamford Road, Singapore. Open from Monday to Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased via the National Museum of Singapore website or Klook.

Explore the city by renting a bike at The Bicycle Hut: P700

If you want to explore the city at your own pace, there are quite a few bike rental shops in Singapore such as The Bicycle Hut. They have city bikes you can rent for P700 for three hours, but if you want to cover more distance, the shop also rents hybrid bikes for P900 for three hours. These rates already include renting a helmet and a lock, so you don't need to shell out more for those biking necessities. But for an additional P100, you can rent a phone holder so it's easier to navigate the streets while you're pedaling about.

Cycling routes in Singapore worth considering are the Round Island Route and Southern Ridges. If you're up for a more challenging route, go to Chestnut Nature Park which goes through different kinds of terrains.

The Bicycle Hut is at 1 North Bridge Road, High Street Center, #B1-53, Singapore. Open from Wednesday to Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and from Friday to Sunday, 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. (closed on Mondays and Tuesdays). Bike rentals can be made via The Bicycle Hut website.

Create a rainforest terrarium in the town of Yishun: P917

Aside from the many typical souvenirs from Singapore, you can bring home something unique—something you—from this terrarium workshop. This two-hour workshop lets you create a miniature rainforest terrarium inside a sealable glass container, to be filled up using unlimited materials of tropical plants and decorative sands, and one free complimentary figurine.

Grab a kaya toast at Ya Kun Kaya Toast: P200

If you're vacationing in Singapore, kaya toast paired with a boiled egg and a cup of coffee, should at the very least be one of your breakfast meals.
