Here's what you need to know about PAL's Neighbor-Free Seat Selection:

ICYDK, myPAL Seat Select Neighbor-Free is Philippine Airlines' latest option for economy passengers looking for a bit more comfort during their flights. For as low as USD30 (or roughly P1,763.72), you can get more space in economy class by blocking the seats beside you. These will keep the seats vacant throughout the flight so you can have more room to relax. 

Qualified economy class passengers can reserve up to a maximum of three myPAL Seat Select Neighbor-Free seats depending on the aircraft assigned for the flight. Final rates for the seats will vary depending on the route. 

There is a catch, though. Unlike normal seat selection, where your chosen seats are guaranteed upon booking, myPAL Neighbor-Free Seat Selection must be requested. The request for a Neighbor-Free Seat is subject to PAL’s further assessment.

How to Book myPAL Seat Select Neighbor-Free?

To request this option, passengers are advised to submit a request for myPAL Seat Select Neighbor-Free at least six days before the standard time of departure. An email invite will be sent to the email address indicated in your flight booking, and you can make a request from there. You can also avail of myPAL Seat Select Neighbor-Free during online check-in. 

Once your request is approved, you will receive an email notification of a successful myPAL Seat Select Neighbor-Free request. This notification will include your flight date, flight origin and destination, assigned seats, and the total amount charged. It should arrive at your specified email address no later than four hours before the estimated departure time. 

Approved requests for myPAL Seat Select Neighbor-Free can only be canceled or revoked by Philippine Airlines due to certain unavoidable circumstances such as—but not limited to—aircraft change, flight schedule, or instances due to safety, security, and operational concerns which may require you to change your seat.

The guarantee of your myPAL Seat Select Neighbor-Free will be reconfirmed during boarding. If the extra seat assigned to you is not provided, a full refund will automatically be processed to your credit card after your flight. Note that only unforeseen cancellations will be refunded. Voluntary rebooking or cancelation will forfeit the myPAL Seat Select Neighbor-Free, and no refund will be issued. 

As of this writing, myPAL Seat Select Neighbor-Free can only be availed online and paid for via credit card.
