Studio Ghibli Appreciation Festival in Maginhawa Quezon City

(SPOT.ph) Let's face it: as much as we want to jet off to Japan's Ghibli Museum in Tokyo or to the Ghibli Park in Nagoya every time we want to immerse ourselves in Hayao Miyazaki's brand of animation and storytelling, that's not really logical. So if you've got a Ghibli itch you can't seem to scratch, then you're in luck.

Street Kohi Mayaman is back with another Ghibli Fest this 2024. Whether you're an OG fan or are just now discovering the magic of Ghibli, this is a must-not-miss weekend filled with Totoro, No Face, and other Ghibli favorites. Here's what we know so far about Ghibli Fest Manila's second 2024 run.

You might remember a similar Studio Ghibli appreciation weekend that was held in April of this year, along with several other Studio Ghibli-themed workshops after that. Well, it seems as though Street Kohi Mayaman is really out here to spoil us with more Ghibli-themed content because a second festival dedicated to Miyazaki classics like Kiki's Delivery Service, My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away, and many more is set to take place in October this year.

Slated for October 19 and 20, this celebration of all things Studio Ghibli is back for another two-day extravaganza. If you didn't get to go to the first run this summer, then mark your calendars as early as now, and don't miss this weekend full of film screenings, Ghibli-themed crafts and knick-knacks, and many more. 

As this event is happening quite some time from now, specific screening schedules, pocket event registrations, and other details are still under wraps. But, if you or your friends are interested in participating in more ways than one, registration for volunteers to help manage the event is already open. This is your chance to see what really goes down at the Ghibli Fest.

Alternatively, crafters, store owners, and those looking to set up shop during the event's weekend market are also welcome to register as merchants.
