(SPOT.ph) After almost a year of Anne-ticipation, Anne Curtis' Madame Tussauds Wax Figure has finally been unveiled, making Anne Curtis officially the fifth Filipino and first Filipino actress-host with a Madame Tussauds counterpart.

Anne 2.0 made its debut in a media preview on November 27 here in Metro Manila, before it flies to Hong Kong to join other famous wax figures. Curtis' twin will be with other celebrities like Brad Pitt, Nicole Kidman, Chris Hemsworth, and many more in Madame Tussauds Hong Kong's Glamour Zone starting December 9. "If you're a Pinoy in Hong Kong "di niyo na kailangan umuwi pag birthday ko, para makita ako," Curtis jokes, referring to a viral meme from her Showtime hosting stint. 

SPOT.ph got to sit and talk with Anne Curtis about her Madame Tussauds experience, and here's what she has to say about this Anne-forgettable feat.

Anne Curtis for Madame Tussauds Hong Kong

"Never in my wildest dreams did I think this would happen to me," were the first things Curtis said upon going up the stage to unveil her wax twin. 

Anne 2.0 can be seen looking very demure and mindful. The figure is posed elegantly with a hand on a mic, smiling cheekily, almost as if she is waiting on the wings, ready to take the stage.

Anne's wax twin wears a bride-like cream-colored Dior gown from Curtis' wardrobe with matching jewelry and kitten heels.  According to Curtis, this was the outfit she wore when she first stepped back into the fashion industry two to three years ago during an event for American luxury brand Tiffany. It was the perfect outfit for the aura of timeless elegance she and Madame Tussauds envisioned for the figure. "This is an outfit that I feel, even if how many years passed, would be something that wouldn't go out of date. I feel like this dress, in particular, is still elegant, and that's also what Madame Tussauds wanted."

Like any Madame Tussauds wax figure, Anne 2.0 is the spitting image of Curtis down to the freckle on her finger. The resemblance was so uncanny that her mom, Carmen Curtis-Smith, shed a few tears upon seeing the image.

"Oh my god! It's so amazing and unbelievable. Siyang-siya yan. Si Anne talaga." Mommy Carmen says to SPOT.ph.

If that's not enough to convince you that Anne 2.0 and Curtis herself are almost interchangeable, take it from her sister, Jasmine Curtis-Smith, who was equally amazed. "It's insanely accurate, as in tinabihan ko kanina, parang siya lang talaga 'yong tinabihan ko," says Jasmine. "So anyone who's actually going to visit the Hong Kong branch of Madame Tussauds they're really going to get a life-like photo moment with her."

Anne also shares the sentiment saying she can't get over how life-like the image is. When asked about her favorite part? Curtis promptly answers Anne 2.0's face. "I'm actually amazed by the details. From how bushy my brows are, my smirk where you can see a little bit of my tooth there, I feel like only someone who knows their reflection very well will understand how amused I am at how precise this is. They got my face, the lips, the eyes, the freckles, the moles, everything. It's very cool."

But the real test of how similar Anne and Anne 2.0 are? Her daughter, Dahlia. Young Dahlia wasn't at the media preview as Anne says she's afraid her daughter might feel a little too overwhelmed. However, she does plan on bringing Dahlia to Madame Tussauds Hong Kong and having her see the figure herself.

"I'm actually very curious to find out [what Dahlia thinks.] I think she might be confused unless I tell her, it's really just a statue," says Anne. "I intend to take her to the Peak and just go around the attractions, and just seeing all the different wax figures. I want to see what her reaction would be when she sees two 'mamas.' I don't think she'll cry, I think she'll be amazed." 

Eexpect more Filipino stars to come in Madame Tussauds 

Anne Curtis is now the second Filipino wax figure unveiled this year for Madame Tussauds. She joins Manny Pacquiao and Pia Wurtzbach in Madame Tussauds Hong Kong, the newly unveiled Lea Salonga figure in Madame Tussauds Singapore, and the traveling Catriona Gray figure which is currently in Thailand. 

Although a Madame Tussauds Manila may not be in the cards right now, we might just get more Filipino representation in various Madame Tussauds branches worldwide. Speaking with Madame Tussauds Hong Kong’s Head of Sales and Marketing, BoBo Yu, we found out that there are already talks aabout more Filipino celebrities getting their own wax twin. "We love Filipinos, and we want more of you to come and visit us," says Yu. 

While Madame Tussauds is still keeping mum on who we're likely to see next, Anne Curtis has many ideas on who should be the next Filipino celebrity with a twin. "I feel like Regine Velasquez, Sarah Geronimo, Vice Ganda as the first LGBTQIA+ Filipino representative, or BINI, Carlos Yulo as a two-time Olympic Gold Medalist, Kathryn Bernardo, Coco Martin, there's a lot [of options]. There's so much talent here," says Curtis and we couldn't agree more.
