(SPOT.ph) Nowadays, people bring their pets everywhere. Gone are the days when pets were only brought to parks. Whether it's a mall, the beach, or a hotel, as long as an establishment is pet-friendly, you'll find a fur baby attached to their hooman there. But traveling with pets in the Philippines has always been a bit of a gamble. While some bus lines allow them on board, options have mostly been limited to regular aircon buses—well, until now.
Good news, pet parents: Victory Liner is extending pet-friendly bus schedules to their First Class bus lines. Here's what you need to know about this new, more spacious, and comfortable way to travel with your pets.

Gone are the days when traveling up north with your pets was just on Victory Liner's regular aircon buses. Now, you can travel with the creature comforts that you and your furbabies deserve.
Don't be mistaken; First Class buses are distinct from their Royal Class counterparts that offer sleeper bed-style seating. First Class buses feature a 2x1 seating layout with extra legroom and built-in restrooms—still pretty comfortable if you ask us.
The new policy applies to select First Class routes, including trips to Baguio and Cagayan—a welcome change for pet owners who previously had to make do with less comfortable transport options or a tiring drive up north.
If you're planning Baguio weekend getaways or Cagayan beach trips for you and your fur baby anytime soon, here are the bus schedules for Victory Liner's pet-friendly First Class buses:

Just make sure you follow Victory Liner's pet boarding protocols, otherwise you and your fur baby might not be allowed to board. Don't worry, the policy is pretty straightforward. Check out this quick refresher on Victory Liner's pet policy.
Here are Victory Liner's travel rules for pets:
-
Only small to medium-sized dogs and cats are allowed on board, with weight limits set between 1kg and 26kg (roughly, 2 to 57 lbs). Travel must align with the designated pet-friendly schedules.
-
For everyone’s comfort, pets must be secured inside a properly sized crate—no heads sticking out—and wear diapers throughout the trip. Roosters, on the other hand, require a cockbox or bayong, plus a valid permit from the Bureau of Animal Industry.
-
Each pet cage takes up a full-paying seat, though there’s a small loophole for those traveling with two tiny pets of the same breed: they can share a medium-sized crate, which still counts as just one occupied seat.
If you're planning a trip up north and are a bit wary about leaving your furry babies in pet hotels or boarding houses, Victory Liner’s latest move is one option you can explore.
