March 8 marks the celebration of International Women's Day.

(SPOT.ph) The struggle for gender equality is far from over, but gone are the days when women were made to feel ashamed of, well, being women. It's 2019 and ladies have every reason to be proud. Here are perks women can enjoy around the Metro on March 8 in celebration of International Women's Day.

We know the MRT-3 isn't always the most reliable—or convenient—option if you're heading somewhere, but some people still choose to ride it over getting stuck in EDSA's traffic. In any case, women can ride the MRT-3 for free from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. tomorrow.
