(SPOT.ph) The Cordilleras often bring to mind a sea of clouds, pine tree-scented breeze, and chilly weather that can make your spine tingle (in a not-horror-movie kind of way). It's home to several hiking trails, including paths to the summits of Mt. Ulap and Mt. Pulag. The journey can be challenging, and spending the night at the top of the mountain is anything but comfortable. But a camping site in Benguet City can give you the best of both worlds: the comforts of a relaxing vacation and a glorious sunrise view from the ridges. Valleypoint Campsite in Tuba, Benguet has kubo-style glamping facilities where you can experience the joy of camping minus the hassle. It opened in August 2018.

Tuba, a municipality right next to Baguio City, is close enough to the capital to be accessible, but far enough from the maddening crowd. This location gives guests at the Valleypoint Campsite a much-needed respite.

You can rent their tents, which come with a mattress, for P850 per head; or share the room with fellow backpackers in the dormitories for P750 per person. They also have premium rooms at P950 per head; but of course, their most popular accommodation is the glamping kubo for P1,750 per head. Can't blame their fans! The glamping kubo, after, all, has a glass window on the roof that's wide enough for stargazing at night. You can also hang out and have fun with your friends at the resort’s airsoft shooting range and archery area.
Valleypoint Campsite is at Santo Tomas Road, Tuba, Benguet. It is about 30 minutes away from Burnham Park in Baguio City. Rates start at P750 per head. For more information, follow Valleypoint Campsite on Facebook.
