Quarantine Travels: Everything You Need to Know If You're Heading to Cebu

They already dropped the RT-PCR test as a travel requirement.

(SPOT.ph) Tourist destinations in the Philippines are slowly opening their doors to travelers as restrictions on "interzonal movement" was eased by the Inter-Agency Task Force on the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases on October 16. This just means that if you're a leisure traveler itching to get out of Metro Manila (which is under general community quarantine) and fly to a province under modified general community quarantine, you can—as long as you follow strict rules and regulations issued by the local government unit.

Here's the official list of Cebu travel requirements (as of February 22, 2021):

What to Bring

  • Medical certificate issued by a doctor seven days prior to visit
  • Proof of booking to any accredited accommodation establishment
  • Lapu-Lapu City, where Mactan-Cebu International Airport is located, doesn't require an RT-PCR test. But Cebu City requires negative results of an RT-PCR test taken within three days.

What to Expect

  • Symptoms checking is done upon arrival
  • Mactan-Cebu International Airport requires travelers to download and register for an account on contact tracing mobile applicaton Traze. You should scan the QR codes located at designated points in the terminals before being allowed to enter the airport.
  • Only tour operators, accommodations, and restaurants accredited by the provincial tourism office are allowed to operate.

  • Manila to Cebu: Z2775; Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday; from 10:40 a.m. to 12:10 p.m. (until November 30)
  • Cebu to Manila: Z2776; Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday; from 12:45 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. (until November 30)
  • Cebu to Manila: Z2522; Thursday; from 4:25 p.m. to 5:55 p.m. (until November 26)

Cebu Pacific

  • Manila to Cebu: four flights daily
  • Cebu to Manila: eight flights daily

Philippine Airlines

  • Manila to Cebu: four flights daily
  • Cebu to Manila: four flights daily

2Go Travel

  • Manila to Cebu: once every other day
  • Cebu to Manila: once every other day

As of November 17, 2020, the provincial tourism office has accredited 212 tourism-related establishments. The municipality with the most number of businesses allowed to operate again is Santa Fe on Bantayan Island.
