( Stargazing can be tricky in Metro Manila. You have artificial lights trying to upstage the twinkling stars, not to mention the smog that covers our skies. Luckily, the foothills of Sierra Madre in Rizal are not too far for a weekend drive; and they provide front-row seats to spectacular astronomical events like meteor showers and rare planetary lineups. Lambingan Hills in Barangay Cuyambay, Tanay, is one of those spots where you can go for a bit of a hike to reach a sprawling campsite.
