Vietnam is following suit after their government announced on October 6 that key destinations will reopen in the next couple of months with full resumption of tourism expected in June 2022.

Vietnam travel requirements make use of their plan that "clearly defines digital transformation and technology application as a significant solution to ensure safe tourism for destinations, service providers and tourists." They've developed Vietnam Safe Travel application, which tourists are required to use for health declaration; the COVID-19 safety declaration system for tourism service establishments, and the COVID-19 vaccination certificate system.

Quang Ninh Province, which reopened to domestic travelers in September, is also expected to welcome international tourists in November and December. Khanh Hoa Province has also proposed to reopen to foreign travelers with vaccine passports. Hoi An in Quang Nam Province is also in the processing their proposal to reopen to fully vaccinated passengers.
