(SPOT.ph) Just last October, Siargao in Surigao del Norte made a comeback as Asia's best island. And we totally get it: It boasts barreling waves for surfing, white-sand beaches, vast expanse of coconut trees, and a laid-back vibe that's like nowhere else in the Philippines. While the island reopened to domestic travelers on September 1, it isn't until today that the provincial government of Surigao del Norte announced that they're now waiving the RT-PCR travel requirement for entry of fully vaccinated individuals.

Here are the latest Siargao travel requirements for fully vaccinated travelers (as of December 10):
- Vaccination card OR vaccination certificate from VaxCert.doh.gov.ph in lieu of RT-PCR test
- Valid I.D.
- Confirmed hotel booking
- S-PaSS registration
The vaccination card or vaccination certificate needs to be uploaded on the S-PaSS registration page, specifically the space for RT-PCR test results. The hotel booking should be uploaded as one document (.doc or .pdf) file through the "Other documents" tab. The approved S-PaSS registration will be presented at the airport or seaport.
