(SPOT.ph) As the country's capital, Manila City is home to many hotels, ancestral houses, and the like, that have been turned into places to stay. It has always been a busy place with all the restaurants, shopping districts, and heritage sites that draw tourists worldwide. With 2022 promising a better outlook on post-pandemic travel, international hotel operator Accor opens its first MGallery property in the Philippines: Admiral Hotel Manila along Roxas Boulevard. The hotel, which not only boasts rooftop views of the famous Manila Bay sunset, also takes pride in its Art Deco design reminiscent of 1940s Manila, Filipino-Spanish interiors, and art installations that reflect the Philippines' contemporary art scene. And if you're a pet parent, Admiral Hotel Manila also welcomes furry friends, which they fondly call VIPs (as in "Very Important Pets).

What to Expect at the Admiral Hotel Manila
Admiral Hotel Manila's penchant for style starts as soon as guests arrive at the lobby. Just look up and you'll see the "Las Paginas de la Historia" art installation, a collection of pages that bring the stories of Admiral Hotel Manila to life. The colorful ceiling, likewise, is a masterpiece in itself; this is complemented by traditional barandilla in the balconies on the sides and Machuca tiles on the floor.

Each of the hotel's six floors, which has 123 guestrooms total, is uniquely themed. Every level has its theme of Filipino festivals, heroes, folk dances, traditional games, and native objects.

While the designs let guests travel back in time, the amenities give them the comforts of modern living: a Samsung television with Bose speakers, Nespresso coffee machines, TWG tea sets, and organic bath amenities by Appelles. The six executive suites and one presidential suite have Cinq Mondes toiletries.

The hotel's facilities are equally luxurious. The Parisian-style Admiral Spa is where guests can sign up for Hamman bath rituals or their signature massage treatments. The rooftop pool and lounge offer amazing views of Manila Bay.

These physical spaces that boast Spanish-Filipino concepts are also reflected in the Admiral Hotel Manila's dining spaces: Admiral Club Manila Bay, which not only has Filipino-Spanish food but also French and Asian flavors; Coconut Grove, which is a modern rooftop bar; El Atrio, which is the perfect venue for afternoon tea; and Ruby Wong's Godown, which is a speakeasy-style venue that serves experimental bar chows and mixed drinks.

"Admiral Hotel Manila – MGallery is the only luxury boutique hotel in Manila [that] boasts an unparalleled array of experiences and offerings that go beyond the ordinary. As a former hub for high-society events back in the early 1940s, we wanted to relive the glamour of Manila’s golden age within this reimagined hotel," said Matthieu Busschaërt, general manager of Admiral Hotel Manila - MGallery, in a statement.
Admiral Hotel Manila is at 2138 Roxas Boulevard, Malate, Manila City. Rates start at P6,375. For more information, visit Admiral Hotel Manila's website.
