More and more countries are dropping COVID-19 testing requirements for arriving passengers to encourage tourism after more than two years of strict border control.
Even though tests are no longer required for fully vaccinated tourists, health protocols such as wearing of masks and frequent disinfection are still in place to keep both foreigners and locals safe.
Before you book your flight, check the visa requirements of your destination country, as some still require it to grant entry to Filipino tourists.
These destinations don't require a pre-departure RT-PCR test:
Israel
There is no need to get a swab test or present negative test results before entering Israel. Vaccination records aren't necessary either, according to their Ministry of Health. Just note that the airlines or whatever transport you choose to head there may have their own set of requirements.
Malaysia
Travel to Malaysia is allowed swab-free for fully vaccinated travelers. Proof of vaccination must be presented upon arrival.
Singapore
Fully vaccinated individuals no longer need to undergo a pre-departure RT-PCR test or quarantine upon arrival. Passengers flying to Singapore must fill out the SG Arrival Card, where a certificate of vaccination must be uploaded.
Japan
Starting September 7, fully vaccinated travelers coming from Blue countries can enter Japan without an RT-PCR test. A vaccination certificate must be presented.
While Japan is open to tourists, only travelers with itineraries coursed through and approved by accredited travel agencies will be allowed to enter.
Thailand
Fully vaccinated travelers can enter Thailand without having to present a negative RT-PCR test result, as long as they present a vaccine certificate.
Unvaccinated tourists will have to present an RT-PCR test if they wish to enter.
France
Tourists can enter without an RT-PCR test as long as they are fully vaccinated.
Second doses taken in the past nine months are accepted. If a traveler's second dose was administered beyond this period, a booster shot is needed.
USA
Fully vaccinated travelers can enter the United States, provided that they show a vaccine certificate upon arrival. Visas are required for Filipino tourists.
Italy
RT-PCR tests and even vaccination certificates are no longer required to enter Italy. Filipino tourists are required to secure a visa to enter.
Germany
Like Italy, Germany no longer requires RT-PCR tests or proof of vaccination.
