(SPOT.ph) It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas already here in the Metro. While the holiday season technically started in the Philippines back in September, more and more establishments are only now starting to bring out the decor and deck out their facades with Christmas-themed displays. In true Filipino fashion, it's a no-holds-barred affair when decorating for the birth of Jesus. Take for example, The Peninsula Manila in Makati had its Christmas Tree lighting ceremony today, October 14.
The Peninsula's 45-foot Christmas tree is one of the Metro's quintessential holiday displays. It's a long-standing tradition, about 46 years in fact, for the hotel to light up a big tree in celebration of the upcoming season. But this year, the hotel pulled out all the stops and celebrated not just by lighting the tree but also with a concert by The CompanY, 92AD, and the Peninsula Strings. Â
Didn't get a chance to attend the tree lighting ceremony? Don't fret, we've got you covered.Â
