(SPOT.ph) Ah, youth, remember when we would spend it playing tag with our friends out in the open fields? Wouldn't you just love to do that again? If you're feeling nostalgic and want to get a rush of adrenaline reliving the joys of playing outside, you may want to read up. We recently got hooked on a modern version of taya-tayaan, a.k.a. Laser Tag.

For the uninitiated, laser tag is a recreational shooting sport where participants use infrared-emitting light guns to "hit" designated targets. Each player commonly wears infrared-sensitive signaling devices to register hits and is sometimes integrated within the arena in which the game is played. It's a great way to get in touch with your inner child or release some stress. If you're interested in trying out this game, we round up places in the Metro where you and your friends can go ham and play this modern game of tag.

Laser Madness offers more than your usual game of laser tag. It has three attractions. Laser Blast is the actual laser tag game held inside a galactic-themed space arena. Another is Time Freak, which tests your reflexes as you must push as many buttons as possible to light up the entire wall within 90 seconds. And lastly, live out your spy dreams and test your agility at the Laser Vault. Here, the challenge is to get past a room of intersecting lasers and not touch them, as this will set off the alarms. Rates vary depending on which games you want to play. There are packages that give discounts should you want to try all three or combinations of them.
