No budget hotel listicle would be complete without Hotel SOGO on it. The brand has become almost synonymous with motels because of how affordable the place is.
Hotel SOGO is the most popular one for a reason—and we’re not just talking about how it’s so clean and so good. It has over 48 branches nationwide, a few of which are directly linked to LRT-1, LRT-2, and MRT-3 for more convenient access.
This Japanese-inspired hotel chain has some of the cheapest rates on the market. Depending on the room and branch, rates will range from P300 for a three-hour stay to P2,000 for a 24-hour stay. We also heard that the food alone is worth checking in for.

Hotel Ava
Waiting for Victoria Court to show up on this list? It’s actually rebranded to Hotel Ava in the last few years. There are only three branches: two in Pasay and one in Malate.
Hotel Ava is famously known for its themed rooms, albeit on the pricier side: There’s one of a gasoline station, a boxing ring, the Red Room in 50 Shades of Gray, and even the Oval Office. Just need a place to sleep without all that extravaganza? Standard rooms and suites are also available at a P2,000 to P5,000 range per night.
To make things simpler, they have a strict 12-hour stay policy from the time of check-in. While walk-in is accepted, it’s best to book a room in advance if you have a specific room request in mind. They're pet-friendly, too.

Mariposa Budget Hotel
Mariposa Budget Hotel has been in the business since 1977, starting as a drive-in hotel before going through a major transformation.
Today, Mariposa offers a more upscale experience without breaking the bank. Patrons will find 10-inch-thick beds, keyless room entry, and bathtubs in every room, even if it’s just for a six-hour stay. The goal has always been to offer comfort at a much lower price—and that they did.
Its five branches can be found in Cubao, Anonas, Pasig, Marikina, and Taytay.

Eurotel
You’ll know it’s Eurotel when you see its tall red and green buildings from afar. Eurotel has branches in North EDSA, Cubao, Pedro Gil, and Makati.
Rest should come with relaxation. That’s something that Eurotel understood as it offered patrons the option of breakfast and a massage service during the stay. Price starts at P2,100 for a Standard Room with enough room amenities to make it through the night.
Eurotel follows a standard check-in and check-out time, but with a longer duration than most hotels. Check-in is at 1:00 p.m. while check-out is at 12:00 p.m, the following day.

RedDoorz
RedDoorz is one of Southeast Asia’s largest hotel management, with over 60 branches in Metro Manila. It also boasts some of the best locations, near city centers, transport terminals, and hospitals.

Most notable about Red Plant Hotels is its use of technology. You can use the Red Plant app to book a room, find the hotel, and even have the front desk in your pocket. A live chat feature is available before, during, and after your stay for any requests or recommendations from the receptionist.
