(SPOT.ph) The 2014 West End production of Miss Saigon is making its way to Manila for the first time since 2000 thanks to GMG Productions.
Miss Saigon will be held at The Theatre at Solaire in Parañaque City. The show opens on March 23, 2024. Ticket selling starts on November 6 via TicketWorld, with seat prices to be announced.

Happening earlier is the pre-sale period from October 23 (10 a.m.) to November 3 (11:59 p.m.) for UnionBank and Citi members. Use the first six digits on your UnionBank or Citi credit or debit card to enjoy 10% discount. UnionBank of the Philippines is the show's official sponsor.

“I’m thrilled to bring my spectacular new production of ‘Miss Saigon’ to Manila. It’s the best production of the show I’ve ever produced, with one of the most brilliant casts that have ever performed the show worldwide,” Cameron Mackintosh said in a statement. “I can’t envisage another show of this scale being done in Manila for the foreseeable future.”

What to know about Miss Saigon in Manila:
This play has special meaning for the local theater scene as Lea Salonga once played heroine Kim. A few more Filipinos followed in the later productions of the stage musical: Jon Jon Briones, Joanna Ampil, and of course, Rachelle Ann Go, who is also Eliza in Hamilton.
Miss Saigon has been staged in 32 countries since it premiered in London’s West End Theatre in 1989.
The new production of Miss Saigon is directed by Laurence Connor, with musical staging by Bob Avian and additional choreography by Geoffrey Garratt.
