This October, the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra is bringing your favorite film and musical scores to life in a one-night-only concert that should hit all the right notes. Here's what you need to know about the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra's one-night-only concert:

Catch your favorite movie and Broadway songs performed live by the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) on October 29, 7:30 p.m. at the Samsung Performing Arts Theater. This special one-night-only concert, dubbed "Lights, Camera, Encore! — Music from the Stage and the Screen," celebrates the MPO's 25th Anniversary.

Sway and sing along to a stacked setlist with some of the most earworm-worthy tracks from movies and musicals like Hamilton, A Star is Born, Star Wars, La La Land, Les Misérables, Game of Thrones, select Studio Ghibli films, and more. 

Current and past members of the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra will comprise the 80-piece ensemble for Lights, Camera, Encore! The performance will be conducted by  its founder and music director Maestro Rodel Colmenar.

Colmenar is a renowned conductor who has collaborated with several local and foreign classical artists including French pianist Alexandre Tharaud and  Filipino OPM greats Lea Salonga, Martin Nievera, Gary Valenciano, Lani Misalucha, and Regine Velasquez.

Special guest performers such as Bituin Escalante, Lara Maigue, Arman Ferrer, the Philippine Madrigal Singers, and the University of Santo Tomas Singers will also add to the from-reel-to-real experience of the evening. 

More than just a celebration of its 25 years in the industry, Lights, Camera, Encore! is also a way for MPO to give back. Proceeds from the event will go to PARCaralan, a project of the MPO and the Performing Arts and Recreation Center (PARC) Foundation, which serves as a creative hub for underprivileged youth and struggling local artists to excel in performing arts. Aside from PARC, a portion will also be used for the benefit of MPO’s member musicians, who endured
financial and health-related hardships during the pandemic.

How to get tickets for the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra's anniversary concert:

Tickets for Lights, Camera, Encore! are available through Ticketworld outlets and on the website. Ticket prices start at ₱2,500.
