GMG Productions has officially announced the Manila run of the UK touring production of Dear Evan Hansen, marking the first time Filipino audiences will get to experience this deeply moving musical live. Here's what we know about Dear Evan Hansen Manila 2025:

Dear Evan Hansen will grace the stage at The Theatre at Solaire this September 2025. While the exact dates have yet to be announced, we're already clearing out a huge chunk of our month just to watch this show.

For theater aficionados, this is a big deal—Dear Evan Hansen has been celebrated worldwide as a groundbreaking musical, earning accolades like the Tony Award for Best Musical, the Olivier Award for Best New Musical, and a Grammy for Best Musical Theatre Album. And for those new to the scene, this is one show you won’t want to miss.

ICYDK, Dear Evan Hansen tells the deeply personal story of Evan, a high school student grappling with anxiety and a longing for connection. When a misunderstanding spirals into a life-altering lie, Evan is thrust into the spotlight, forcing him to navigate truth, self-acceptance, and the weight of his choices.

Steven Levenson wrote this 2015 stage musical, and the music and lyrics were by EGOT awardees Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, who also brought us the music for The Greatest Showman.

A film based on the play was released in 2021, receiving mixed reactions from audiences. For Dear Evan Hansen Manila 2025, the ATG Productions, Gavin Kalin Productions, and Nottingham Playhouse UK touring group will bring their take on the musical. Directed by Adam Penford, the production promises a fresh interpretation while staying true to the original's soul, with a creative team that includes Morgan Large for set and costume design, Carrie-Anne Ingrouille for choreography, Matt Daw for lighting design, sound design by Tom Marshall, and video design by Ravi Deepres. Musical supervision is by Matt Smith, with musical direction by Michael Bradley. Casting is by Natalie Gallacher CDG for Pippa Ailion & Natalie Gallacher Casting, with Michelle Payne as associate director and Laura Llewellyn-Jones as orchestral manager.

How to get tickets to Dear Evan Hansen Manila 2025:

Tickets will officially go on sale this April 15 and will be available online and at TicketWorld outlets nationwide. While ticket prices haven’t been announced yet, we’ll be on the lookout!
