Matilda, The Musical Cancels Remaining Shows in Manila
The sad news just keep on coming.
(SPOT.ph) Matilda, The Musical's international tour opened at The Theatre at Solaire in Parañaque City on March 5. It has since wowed the Filipino audience with its captivating set design (read: actual swings onstage), exhilarating music and choreography, and heartwarming story. But following the "community quarantine" of Metro Manila that was announced in the evening of March 12, GMG Productions has decided to cancel all Matilda, The Musical performances from March 13 onwards. The musical was supposed to run until March 22.
Tickets will be refunded. You may call Ticketworld at 8891-9999 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
In an earlier interview with SPOT.ph, Natalie Gilhome—resident director of Matilda, The Musical—explained that the show "reminds us that change can happen with one small voice and Matilda teaches us so much about standing up for what we believe is right; and to make a change if you believe that's the change that will make the world better."
