Star Wars Orchestra Concert Has Been Postponed
It's moved to a later date.
(SPOT.ph) The past few weeks had event organizers cancel or postpone concerts and theatrical shows to mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 virus, especially with the cases in the Philippines continuing to rise. In a statement released on March 27, the organizers of Star Wars: A New Hope in Concert—CC:Concepts—have decided to postpone the upcoming event initially scheduled on May 30 and 31. The new show dates will be on August 15 and 16, still at The Theatre at Solaire in Parañaque City.
In their statement posted on Facebook, CC: Concepts explained that "the community’s health and safety is and will always be top priority." The concert involves audio and video engineers coming from the U.S., more than a hundred of orchestra members and crew, and over 3,000 audience members.
In the spirit of solidarity, part of Star Wars: A New Hope in Concert's ticket sales from March 27 to April 30 will be donated to organizations providing personal protective equipment for our health workers and food relief for daily wage workers who lost their source of income due to the enhanced community quarantine.
Star Wars: A New Hope in Concert is on August 15 and 16 at The Theatre at Solaire, Solaire Resort and Casino, 1 Aseana Avenue, Parañaque City. Tickets bought prior to postponement will be valid for the new show dates. You can still get your tickets, priced from P1,500 to P6,000, through Ticketworld.
