What is Juan Luna's "Hymen, oh Hyménée!"?

Regarded as the pinnacle of Philippine art, "Hymen, oh Hyménée!" holds significant historical value, earning a bronze medal at the 1889 Paris Exposition Universelle, alongside the Eiffel Tower's debut. Despite its subsequent disappearance, art collector Jaime Ponce de Leon's decade-long pursuit culminated in its acquisition in 2014.  Its unveiling at the Ayala Museum through the exhibition Splendor: Juan Luna, Painter as Hero marks a long-awaited return to public view, showcasing the enduring legacy of the acclaimed masterpiece.
