(SPOT.ph) Pinoys have a thing for the sweet-and-savory mix: raisins in our embutido, saba in our stews, pineapple on pizza, jam on our meatballs—hold up, wait. That last bit isn't really an "us" thing, that combination pretty recently made waves on our shores after IKEA finally opened up in Pasay City in 2021. Alongside their Nordic furniture and home goods, they brought along meatballs with yup, lingonberry jam on the side. Not convinced? If you're yet to try it, we say check out another version over at Pancake House. They've got a wholesome looking plate of it and to make it even better, it's part of a take-two deal.

This new dish from Pancake House comes with homemade meatballs smothered in gravy, sides of mashed potato and fruit jam, and, of course, we can't forget the rice. You can get it a la carte at P299. Whether you're a meatball-and-jam aficionado or are yet to try it out, you can give this one a go. We can already imagine the sweet jam melding with savory meat, all rounded out by carbs courtesy of mashed potatoes and good ol' rice, all in one bite.

To sweeten this tasty dish even more, Pancake House has a Choose Any 2 deal this Christmas. That means you can get this and pick another among four choices—the Ultimate Burger Breakfast, the Salisbury Steak, Egg & Rice, the Triple Cheese Peppered Pasta, or the Pan Porkchop with Rice & Cucumber Salad—for just P499.
