(SPOT.ph) Limitations on dining out aside, the pandemic had us seeing—and eating our way through—a number of (then-) delivery-only superstars whose A+ eats had us hooked. In the donburi realm, that title went to Kodawari, the purveyor known for their trays of gyudon and mushroom don full of soulful flavors (and perfectly cooked protein, rice, and veg). Now they're moving to the dine-in realm, with the opening of their physical outpost in Makati!

IG-famous purveyor Kodawari is opening a gyudon restaurant:
Soft-opening on March 12, Kodawari's dine-in spot will be located at Adamson Centre on Leviste Street, Makati. Though the shop has yet to release their full menu, they share in an exchange with SPOT.ph that they've got exclusive items in store—yup, there's plenty to be excited about.

Fast facts: the small shop makes some mighty flavorful Gyudon with succulent and flavorful beef strips, 63-degree eggs with yolks that stay golden and runny, and warm Japanese rice that absorbs all the beef’s juices, and fried talbos ng kamote that lend a subtle crunch and earthy profile to the mix. Their Shroomdon—essentially the Gyudon's meatless cousin with three kinds of mushrooms (shimeji, shiitake, and King Oyster to be exact) braised until deeply savory and tender, plus a crispy topping of fried enoki mushrooms—is likewise a must-try. They originally only sold these specialties in good-for-sharing trays with single-serving options only at pop-ups—but our fingers are crossed they'll be serving these up in solo-friendly bowls at the restaurant!

Kodawari's dine-in outpost will be at G/F Adamson Centre, 121 L.P. Leviste Street, Salcedo Village, Makati City. For more information, check out Kodawari's Facebook page.
